Jo Bradley RVN

Practice Manager

Jo first joined the practice as a trainee veterinary nurse in 1988 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1990. By the time Jo left the practice in 2001 to move to the Cotswolds with her family she was our practice manager. The pull of Birmingham was too strong however and we were lucky enough for Jo to come back as our head nurse in August 2006.  Following the departure of Lisa Martin to a new and exciting role, Jo has returned to the role of Practice Manager, responsible for overseeing the day to day management of the practice, book-keeping, payroll, accounts and keeping the Practice up to date with current Health and Safety Legislation, RCVS Standards and Employment Law Regulations.

Louise Cartwright

Louise has been with us since 2004 and originally worked part-time doing evenings and weekends. She now looks after Reception Monday to Friday daytimes and does some weekend shifts too. Louise is usually the first port of call for most of our clients, and she also does a fantastic job of organising our Pet Care Plan.

Nic Gee VN

Nic is our longest serving member of staff, having qualified as a veterinary nurse and then returning to the practice as a part time receptionist, usually covering weekday evenings.  Nic has a golden Labrador Retriever called Meg and has recently welcomed the arrival of her first grandchild.

Sarah Melody

We have welcomed Sarah back to working at The Lodge in 2015.  Sarah qualified as a VN and previously woked at The Lodge as a nurse. She has now joined our Reception team working on a part-time basis.  Sarah has a Dandie Dinmont Terrier called 'Gracie' and a Devon Rex cat called 'Dobby'.  Dobby has been known to be an inpatient at the surgery due to his unfortunate habit of eating hair bobbles.  On one occasion, 14 were removed from his stomach! Sarah has been actively involved in working alongside therapy organisations and the Police Force as a puppy walker.  Last year she was responsible for training Pammie (pictured), a Labrador who was successfully placed as a therapy dog with Dogs for Good.  Her new addition Yana, a black Labrador puppy, has some big shoes to fill!

Carole Davies

“Auntie” Carole is by far the most important member of staff; not only does she keep the practice spotlessly clean, she also makes endless cups of tea and coffee for staff and clients. Every practice should have one!

Mandy Oates

Mandy joined the practice in 2016 and shares the role of 'domestic goddess' with Carole.  She is a pet lover and has always had dogs, and has recently rescued one from Birmingham Dogs Home.  In her spare time Mandy loves days out in the countryside.

Steve Morgan

Steve joined the Practice in January 2017 as our Maintenance Man.  He is very adept at all kinds of DIY and is responsible for maintaining the Practice environment and updating the decor.  Steve is a busy husband and father and enjoys travelling with his family.
