About us
There has been a veterinary practice on the Coleshill road site in Hodge Hill since approximately 1960 when Hector Hamilton MRCVS started a veterinary practice.
In 1980 Tony and Louise Harrington MRCVS’s bought the practice and in 1988 expanded the practice by adding the Coleshill branch. Both Tony and Louise have now retired from full time veterinary practice and the current practice principal is Fintan Farrelly MRCVS.
In January 2009 the Hodge Hill practice underwent major refurbishment to ensure we continue to offer the highest standards of health care.
RCVS accreditation
In October 2009, the practice successfully underwent an inspection under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme.
Both of the sites were subject to a rigorous inspection by an RCVS appointed veterinary surgeon, who looked at all aspects of the operation of the practice, including staff qualifications and ongoing education, clinical governance and standards of care, out of hours availability and patient care, in-patient and out-patient facilities, diagnostic equipment, pharmacy procedures and all aspects of health and safety.
We are pleased to say that we passed with flying colours and have renewed our accreditations at Tier 2 for the main site at Hodge Hill and Tier 1 for the branch surgery at Coleshill.
